Wi-Fi is available during business hours. Patrons can access free Wi-Fi with their personal devices, such as laptops, smartphones, and tablets.

Alice’s Closet:

Alice’s Closet is a secondhand boutique located in the Hoyt Library. Shop the boutique for a variety of apparel and household items. Donations are always accepted! All sales benefit the Hoyt Library.

Tours: Free, scheduled in advance

Tours of the Library can be scheduled for Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts, school groups, and others.

Book Discussion Programs for Adults: FREE

The Hoyt Library Book Club meets 4 times a year to discuss a book selected by Library staff (3 Fiction and 1 Non-Fiction). Books and questions are supplied by the library, simply sign up at the desk!

Outreach Programs: Free, scheduled in advance

Literacy programs are offered to schools, day cares, Head Starts, senior centers, etc. They include, but are not limited to, stories, crafts, math and science curriculum, presentations and workshops.

Pre-School MESS Program: FREE

This program is for children ages 3-5 but not in Kindergarten. The program incorporates seasonal topics in math, early literacy, science, or stories.


Children ages 7-18 will be able to build projects using their own imagination and creativity based on a theme.


This program aids younger children (ages 2-5) in their development of problem solving, socialization skills, fine motor control, colors, and cause and effect.

Storytime: FREE

Children ages 2-5 but not in Kindergarten and their parents will listen to stories, and children will have fun completing creative crafts for fun and enjoyment!

Art Express Class: Free

Children ages 7-18 will learn about famous artists and art techniques from our certified art instructor, and will be able to complete art projects for the semi-annual Student Art Exhibition.

Hoyt Library’s Science and Math Program: FREE

This is a peer approached and student driven program for hands-on learning in science and math for children ages 7-18.

Adult Coloring: FREE

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon of coloring and conversation. Materials are provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own.

The Friends of the Hoyt Library Group:

The Friends of the Hoyt Library help the library financially through the many fundraising events they hold throughout the year. The Friends meet every 3rd Thursday at 6 PM. New members welcome!
