Downton Abbey Tea

If you are a follower of the British period drama television series, Downton Abbey, created by Julian Fellowes, then join the Hoyt Library for a Downton Abbey Tea, catered by The Tea & Basket Place, on Thursday, April, 3rd, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Community Room of the library.

All seats are reserved and a payment of $25.00 is payable at time of registration. Please register early as seating is limited. Last day to register is March 21st.

The menu will consist of two special teas: Downton Abbey and Lady Violet, three kinds of finger sandwiches, and a delicious desert, all especially made by The Tea & Basket Place for the event.

Door prizes will be awarded, the PBS film, Secrets of Highclere Castle will be shown, including a special time for discussion of the Crawley family secrets!

Downton Abbey has received critical acclaim from television and has won a Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy Award for Best Miniseries Films for Television, or Movie. It has been awarded by the Guinness World Records as a critically acclaimed English-language series.  It is one of the most widely watched television drama shows in the world. More than 24 million views tuned in last season making it PBS’s highest rated drama of all time!

Please don’t miss out on this truly unique experience! Come dressed in period attire if you like, however, it is not a requirement for attendance.
